I think it’s now clear that, for me, Marsala is not just a place, but a land of constant discoveries and experiences to which I will always feel connected. A place where I’ve been able to discover some of the wines that move me the most.

The story of this company begins with the vision of Leone Bianchi, who purchased Baglio Woodhouse, the current headquarters of the winery. A story that started with the transportation of wine and later evolved, becoming a supplier of alcohol for Marsala producers, up until the creation, in 1955, of the first Sicilian distillery.

From the first Sicilian brandy to Amaro Segesta, all the way to the recent products of Alchimia Siciliana and the well‑known GinSale, made with “a pinch” of Marsala sea salt.
A story that began long ago, a tradition honored but approached with the “modern” vision that defines the work of Claudio Bianchi, the current owner of the company. Bold yet rewarding choices, without ever losing that sense of place that makes Marsala, once again—and in a different way—a unique destination one can only fall in love with.
I can simply conclude by saying that discovering this company (and especially their Gin Sale, which I found absolutely outstanding for how effortlessly drinkable it is) convinced me even more that I’ll need to return to Marsala as soon as possible, to rediscover the beauty of a place that, in my opinion, still hasn’t received the visibility it truly deserves.
