Online qualifications from October 22 to November 11, Grand Finale in Naples on December 10–11
Neapolitan pizza once again brings the world together with the sixth edition of the Vera Pizza Contest, the international homemade pizza competition organized by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN).
A global initiative open to anyone eager to test their skills from their home oven or fryer — sharing creativity, passion, and respect for Neapolitan tradition.
Following the great success of the previous edition — which involved over 1,300 participants from 53 countries and generated more than 100,000 online interactions — the contest returns from October 22 to November 11 with its online qualification rounds.
During this period, participants can submit photos of their pizzas to AVPN: an international jury of AVPN master pizzaioli, representing countries from Venezuela to Japan, the UK to Spain and Chile, will select the five best creations each week.
“This initiative embraces the whole world under the sign of inclusivity,” says Antonio Pace, President of AVPN. “No professional skills or special equipment are required — only passion, care in selecting ingredients, and respect for our traditional guidelines. It’s a way to celebrate Neapolitan pizza as an excellence of our country and, at the same time, as a universal language capable of connecting different cultures through tradition.”
At the end of the qualification rounds, three finalists will be selected to take part in the Grand Finale in Naples, scheduled for December 10–11 at AVPN’s headquarters.
There, contestants will present two pizzas — a Margherita and one of their own creation — in front of an audience and a panel of experts, in a celebration of creativity and authentic Neapolitan pizza culture.
The winners will also have the opportunity to attend a professional training course at AVPN’s headquarters and gain access to the “Amateurs” category of the Vera Pizza Napoletana Champion 2026, continuing their journey of growth and passion for the true Neapolitan pizza.
