The Wine Museum of Stefano Pizzamiglio (La Tosa)

I’m reposting this video, which unfortunately remained mistakenly marked as “unpublished” (unforgivable). I regret it, because my visit to “La Tosa,” run by Stefano Pizzamiglio, was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful visits I’ve made in recent years.

I had the chance to come into contact with a true passion for the land and its products—first and foremost wine, but also a strong desire to tell its story from the very beginning and, above all, to make everything available to visitors. There is a room dedicated to everything related to “the making” of wine, another space devoted to the words of wine, and above all a library with more than 500 volumes. Among them is Pasteur’s work on fermentation—books that might deserve a vault, yet are instead available to consult with a simple visit to Vigolzone, in the province of Piacenza.

If I may offer a piece of advice, this is a visit that deserves time.

You will be rewarded by Stefano’s delightful hospitality, by what you will see, by what you will drink and, if you wish, by what you can enjoy eating at his agriturismo. 🙂
