In February, the Fortezza da Basso in Florence will host a new edition of TASTE, a journey into the world of contemporary food and wine. The event, dedicated to culinary excellence, celebrates its eighteenth edition from February 8 to 10, bringing together over 700 companies that represent the best of production and gastronomic culture. About 100 of these companies will be attending for the first time, selected through a careful scouting process to join the Taste community.
This year, the event is renewed to offer industry professionals the opportunity to discover the latest news and trends, ranging from pantry essentials to the dining table. The exhibition is centered around a fascinating theme that evokes a magical image: constellations, groups of stars that together trace a celestial path. For 2025, Taste presents itself as a journey among the stars, a brilliant and illuminating experience to explore the universe of food and wine.
New exhibition areas, such as the Monumental Areas and the Lorenzian Buildings, will provide insights into innovative topics like heroic wines, new consumption trends (such as breakfast), and special projects, including a collaboration with 1895 Coffee Designers by Lavazza. The path within the Fortezza will unfold into a captivating map of gastronomic constellations, ranging from savory to sweet, with Spirits and tools dedicated to cooking. And thanks to the “Taste Horoscope,” visitors will be able to discover new gourmet zodiac signs.
The Ghiaie Pavilion will host events, talks, Davide Paolini’s Rings, and training sessions. In the evening, the entire city will come alive with Fuoriditaste, an off-program that will involve the best Florentine venues, offering tastings and thematic presentations.
