The search for the treasures of Southern Italy begins with “Radici del Sud.”

The new edition of Radici del Sud begins tomorrow. A total of 140 wineries from Sardinia, Abruzzo, Molise, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania and Sicily will present their products at this well-established event, which has now reached its 16th edition.

The event will take place from June 10 to 15 in Sannicandro di Bari, in the evocative setting of the Norman Castle, which—after last year’s unavoidable closed-door edition—will once again welcome visitors. Radici del Sud is a unique opportunity to meet wine and olive oil producers from Southern Italy and to discover the indigenous grape varieties of the South. A journey that I personally interpret as a kind of treasure hunt, in search of distinctive grape varieties and territorial expressions that continue to surprise me.

Beyond my personal approach, it must be said that this event was conceived by Nicola Campanile, the organizer, as an opportunity for the South to present itself to journalists, influencers and importers from all over the world.

Four days structured around a program designed to satisfy journalists, buyers and visitors alike.

The numbers of Radici del Sud speak for themselves: 16 editions, 140 wineries, and 350 wines in competition—an event not to be missed.

Naturally, the entire event has been organized with the utmost attention to safety, with controlled access and entry divided into scheduled time slots.
