The Erbaluce of Cantine Cieck

“A fragment of the Aosta Valley torn away by the Mont Blanc glacier.”

This is how Lia Falconieri likes to describe the territory where the winery produces its wines. A morainic soil, made of sand and pebbles, where the vines struggle to find nourishment.

Wines therefore marked by great acidity and salinity, but also by other characteristics—such as the thick skin of the grapes, which allows for gentle whole-cluster pressing—that make Erbaluce suitable for multiple styles, from sparkling wines to passito.

One of the few DOCG denominations that includes, under the same appellation, Metodo Classico, still wine, and passito.
A non-aromatic grape variety, eclectic, and capable of aging beautifully over time.
