Three beautifully designed boxes. Three small surprises waiting to be opened. Three different gins for a tasting that goes beyond the usual format. Today’s focus is Anonima Distillazioni, an artisanal distillery we have already mentioned a couple of times on this site.
This time we were intrigued by the tasting kits, featuring three different gins: Aquamirabilis, with its wonderfully fragrant juniper; Aquamarina, inspired by the aromas of the Mediterranean scrub; and Sloe Gin, made with sloe berries and wild blackberries. The box also included tonic waters and a ginger beer from Cortese, ready to be mixed. Of course, we had to organize ourselves with the right glasses and plenty of ice within reach.
Gabriele Persichetti, Giacomo Faramelli and Fabian Peroni guided us through the aromas of the botanicals and gave us instructions on how to prepare the perfect Gin & Tonic. It was 6:30 pm, and fortunately we were all at home — because by 7:30 pm (at least for me) clarity had given way to cheerfulness.
It’s a beautiful story, the one behind Anonima Distillazioni, built on passion and research.
This time we were many… and we truly enjoyed it. 🙂
