Everything is ready for the tenth edition of the Rome Whisky Festival. The event will take place Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6 at the Salone delle Fontane in the EUR district of Rome.
Visitors will have 2,000 square meters of exhibition space to meet producers and taste hundreds of products. The festival, whose artistic direction is entrusted to Andrea Fofi with consultancy by Pino Perrone, will feature more than 20 masterclasses for both experts and newcomers, including several 25-minute introductory courses designed specifically for beginners.
The festival will not be dedicated solely to whisky. There will also be a chocolate area curated by “Fonderia Dolci & Design”, a space dedicated to the historic pub Le Bon Bock, present at the RWF with its own stand serving English draft beers and a selection of traditional Scottish dishes, and a cigar lounge curated by the Club Amici del Toscano.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase bottles, including a special limited edition created for the festival’s tenth anniversary: Caol Ila 15 years old – First Fill Bourbon Hogshead, available for pre-order on the Whisky & Co. website and collectible during the festival, alongside a second bottling that will be revealed during the event.
As every year, festival guests will also be able to taste the winners of the “Whisky & Lode” Award, selected by a jury of experts through blind tastings, who will determine the best bottles in competition in categories such as Best World Whisky and Best Single Cask.
A festival where whisky is celebrated in all its forms, including in cocktails and mixed drinks presented by ORO Whisky Bar. And the celebration will not end with the two days of the festival: it will continue with the project “Whisky in Town”, involving five renowned whisky-focused venues across the city: ORO Whisky Bar, Jerry Thomas Speakeasy, Treefolk’s Public House, Le Bon Bock and Banana Republic.
