Everyone is ready for the tenth edition of the Rome Whisky Festival. The event will take place on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 March at the Salone delle Fontane in the EUR district.
Two thousand square meters of exhibition space will be available to visitors, offering the opportunity to meet producers and taste hundreds of products. The festival, whose artistic direction has been entrusted to Andrea Fofi and with consultancy by Pino Perrone, will feature more than 20 masterclasses for both experts and newcomers, including several beginner courses lasting 25 minutes.
Not only whisky, but also a space dedicated to chocolate with “Fonderia Dolci & Design”, another dedicated to the historic pub Le Bon Bock, present at the RWF with a pop-up pub serving English draft beers and a few specialties from traditional Scottish cuisine, and one reserved for cigars curated by the Club Amici del Toscano.
It will also be possible to purchase bottles. Of particular note is the limited edition planned for the tenth edition of the Festival: Caol Ila 15yo – First Fill Bourbon Hogshead (available for pre-order on the Whisky & Co. website and collectible at the fair), along with a second bottling that will be unveiled during the festival.
As every year, visitors will also have the chance to taste the products that win the Whisky & Lode Award, assigned by a jury of experts who, through a blind tasting, will determine the best bottles in competition in the categories Best World Whisky and Best Single Cask.
A festival where whisky is celebrated in all its forms, including the mixed version proposed by ORO Whisky Bar, and which will not end with the two festival days on March 5 and 6 but will continue with the project “Whisky in Town.”
The initiative will involve five venues across the city, already well known hubs of whisky culture: ORO Whisky Bar, Jerry Thomas Speakeasy, Treefolk’s Public House, Le Bon Bock, and Banana Republic
