Naples Celebrates the Excellence of Italian Wine with Anteprima VitignoItalia
On Monday, November 25, Naples will transform into the capital of Italian wine thanks to Anteprima VitignoItalia. The event, hosted at the Hotel Excelsior on Via Partenope, offers participants a journey through the finest wines of Italy, showcasing over 500 labels and more than 100 wineries in a day dedicated to tastings and meetings with producers.
Anteprima VitignoItalia serves as a preview of the main event, scheduled from May 11 to 13, 2025, at the Stazione Marittima. This occasion is a must for exploring the best of Italy’s wine heritage, with a special emphasis on Campanian wines. However, the event will also feature top producers from other renowned wine regions across the country.
A significant highlight of this edition is the dedicated space for rosé wines, featuring an exclusive selection of 10 standout labels from the “100 Best Italian Rosé” ranking. Enhancing the experience, attendees will also enjoy excellent gastronomic products, including artisanal breadsticks, Sannio cured meats, Cilento figs, and traditional sweets like chocolates and panettone. Other regional specialties such as oils, liqueurs, and grappas will also be available.
“Anteprima VitignoItalia is a unique event to showcase the excellence of our wine heritage, combining high-level tastings with tailored networking opportunities for the trade,” says Maurizio Teti, director of VitignoItalia. “Thanks to our teamwork and support from partners like the Campania Region, UniCredit, and ICE, Naples continues to be a vital hub for promoting Italian wine.”
The event will also have an important international focus through collaboration with ICE (Italian Trade Agency). Five journalists from international press outlets in Poland, the UK, Germany, and Austria will participate in an educational tour exploring the Salerno area. This initiative aims to promote Italian wine by highlighting the region’s rich heritage, traditions, and producer stories.
Anteprima VitignoItalia also embraces a social mission: part of the bottles collected will be donated to Christmas lunches organized by the Sant’Egidio Community for detention facilities in Campania. The event will be divided into two sessions: from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM for trade professionals and press, and from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM for wine enthusiasts.
