Two days of tastings, masterclasses, in‑depth discussions, and plenty of conviviality: just a few days remain until the start of “L’Italia del Pinot Nero,” the event organized by the news outlet Vinodabere.
Understanding and exploring the richness of Italian Pinot Noir, highlighting the unique characteristics of the many Italian territories that cultivate it, and taking participants on a journey through Italy’s regions — this is the goal of the two‑day event scheduled in Rome on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 October.
Considered the noblest of all red grape varieties worldwide, Pinot Noir has always represented both a challenge for winemakers and a remarkable reward for enthusiasts. Known for its complexity and delicacy, it adapts and shapes itself according to the terroir in which it grows. From the gentle hills of Oltrepò to the mountains of Alto Adige and Trentino, passing through Friuli Venezia Giulia, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta, Veneto, Tuscany, Marche, Umbria, and even Abruzzo, Lazio, Campania, and reaching all the way to Sicily: “L’Italia del Pinot Nero is not only a celebration of wine, but also a showcase of our winemaking heritage,” the Vinodabere organizers explain. “This event aims to offer an opportunity to discover and deepen the nuances of this fascinating grape variety, and the bond it has formed with the territories where it has taken root, engaging with experts, producers, and wine lovers.”
The first edition of “L’Italia del Pinot Nero” will take place on October 27 and 28 at the Belstay Hotel (Via Bogliasco 27, 00165 Rome). Tickets can be purchased here.
