In the heart of Rome, between the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, VICO Pizza&Wine brings a contemporary vision of pizza into a late-16th-century building rich in frescoed ceilings and historical details linked to the Tudor presence in the area. Within this setting, the project combines high-quality doughs, a carefully curated atmosphere and an approach to hospitality that is informal yet attentive. Leading the pizza program is Ciro De Vincenzo, a Neapolitan pizzaiolo raised in the Spanish Quarters, who has developed his own dough style based on balanced hydration, long fermentation and precise control of temperature and humidity. The result is a menu that alternates between traditional and creative pizzas, classic Neapolitan fried dishes such as montanarine, crocchè and frittatine di pasta, and a small selection of popular Neapolitan recipes.

The offering is further enriched by seasonal tasting menus designed to explore different doughs and cooking methods in broader, more relaxed dining paths. Alongside the food, VICO features a wine list of around one hundred labels and a cocktail list created in collaboration with Salotto 42, with drinks conceived to pair with the pizzas.

Much of VICO’s identity is tied to its setting: two rooms covering 170 square meters, blending historical architecture with contemporary design, including liberty-style boiserie by Stabilimenti Ducrot, vibrant colors, a Vietri-style mosaic-covered oven and details that nod to Neapolitan imagery. The goal is to offer a pizzeria that highlights both the quality of the pizza and the convivial dimension of the dining experience, transforming dinner into a relaxed, enjoyable moment.

VICO Pizza&Wine presents itself as a place where pizza craftsmanship, aesthetic care and warm hospitality come together, offering in the center of Rome an experience that goes well beyond eating a simple pizza.
