The Sardinia of Vinodabere: Third edition of an event that celebrates the island’s enological treasures

Sardinia has always been at the center of attention for Vinodabere.it, the journalistic platform led by Maurizio Valeriani, which has focused on its territories, wines, and gastronomic traditions. The Guide to the Best Wines of Sardinia, now in its seventh edition, has seen extraordinary success, with over 500,000 readers between August and September 2024. This achievement not only reflects the passion for the island’s wine but also the excellence of its productions, which continue to earn national and international recognition.

This year, as a well-established tradition, the “Sardinia by Vinodabere” event returns to Rome, reaffirming its importance as a showcase for Sardinian producers. This annual event offers the opportunity to explore the incredible variety and enological complexity of a region that, despite being a small corner of the Mediterranean, is a true “continent” when it comes to the richness of its winemaking tradition.

The third edition aims not only to celebrate the great Sardinian wines but also to introduce them to those who are not yet familiar with them, offering everyone a sensory journey through the unique features of this extraordinary land.

A weekend immersed in the world of Sardinian wine: 45 wineries and over 200 wines to taste

On January 18th and 19th, the Belstay Hotel in Rome will host an unmissable event for wine enthusiasts, featuring 45 Sardinian wineries presenting over 200 labels, including whites, rosés, reds, sweet wines, oxidized wines, and even sparkling wines. It will be the perfect occasion to discover the extraordinary variety of wines from different areas of the island, true enological microcosms, each with its own peculiarities and traditions.

Guests will have the chance to explore various wine types, appreciating the quality that has led Sardinian viticulture to reach internationally recognized levels of excellence. It will also be a unique opportunity to meet local winemakers, learn about their passion for working in the vineyard, and uncover the stories behind each bottle.

The sensory journey will also include wines from different wine-growing regions of the island, such as Alghero, Anglona, Gallura, Mamoiada, Mandrolisai, Ogliastra, Oliena, Orgosolo, Oristanese, Romangia, Sulcis, and southern Sardinia. In addition, some of these regions will be featured in thematic masterclasses scheduled for Saturday, January 18th.
