On June 25, the beautiful setting of Ristorante Degli Angeli in Magliano Sabina, just north of Rome, will host the eleventh edition of one of Italy’s most authentic and meaningful food and wine events. For over a decade, this initiative has achieved something remarkable: bringing together culinary excellence, wine culture, artisanal food production, and solidarity, without allowing any one element to overshadow the others.
At Wining.it, we have chosen to support and promote this initiative because it perfectly reflects a vision of food and wine that we deeply share. A vision in which gastronomic culture is not merely about pleasure or storytelling, but can become a concrete tool for creating value and helping those who need it most.
From 8:00 p.m. until midnight, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a truly immersive gastronomic experience. More than a tasting event, it is a journey through encounters, flavors, and stories. Around seventy chefs from across Italy, including nearly thirty Michelin-starred talents and some of the country’s most respected culinary figures, will prepare their dishes by generously donating their time, ingredients, expertise, and equipment.
Among the chefs announced for this year’s edition are Anthony Genovese, Francesco Apreda, Roy Caceres, Peppe Guida, Gianfranco Pascucci, Andrea Pasqualucci, Lele Usai, Giuseppe Di Iorio, Davide Del Duca, Massimo Viglietti, Marco Claroni, Vitantonio Lombardo, Antonio Pasqualucci, and many other leading voices of contemporary Italian cuisine.
Alongside the chefs’ creations, guests will be able to explore wines, extra virgin olive oils, cheeses, spirits, and numerous artisanal specialties in a tasting journey that celebrates Italy’s diverse territories, traditions, and interpretations of flavor. All of this unfolds against the backdrop of the Sabina hills at sunset, in an atmosphere that has become one of the event’s defining characteristics.
Yet what makes “Con il Cuore nel Piatto” truly special is the reason it exists.
Every euro raised during the evening will be donated to the NeMO Clinical Center, a leading Italian institution dedicated to the treatment and research of neuromuscular and neurodegenerative diseases. Since 2008, NeMO has supported children and adults affected by conditions such as ALS, SMA, and muscular dystrophies, accompanying patients and their families throughout every stage of their journey.
Behind this initiative lies a story of pain transformed into hope. It began with Laura Marciani and Sergio, founders of the event with Michele Papagno, whose personal experience inspired a commitment that has since brought together hundreds of chefs, volunteers, producers, and partner companies. A network that continues to grow while remaining faithful to its original spirit. The results speak for themselves: the previous edition raised more than €31,000, all of which was donated directly to support research and patient care.
At a time when the worlds of food and wine often seem driven by visibility and self-promotion, “Con il Cuore nel Piatto” serves as a powerful reminder that the true value of gastronomy lies in people. In the ability to share, to build relationships, and to transform passion into something tangible and meaningful.
