Discovering Vesuvian Wines with Wine Spot – Wines Without Barriers

A full day dedicated to exploring the fascinating world of Vesuvian wines, in an inclusive event that blends taste, culture, and accessibility. Set in the beautiful Villa Campolieto, in the heart of Ercolano, Wine Spot – Wines Without Barriers invites everyone on Saturday, May 31, to experience the unique charm of volcanic winemaking and the richness of the local heritage.

Thirteen wineries from the Vesuvian area will gather to share a winemaking tradition that combines the strength of volcanic soil with artisanal expertise. This journey begins with the region’s deep-rooted viticultural vocation and continues through guided tastings, breathtaking views, and cultural insights.

The choice of Villa Campolieto is no coincidence. This stunning 18th-century residence, part of the famous “Golden Mile,” is a symbol of the area’s history and architectural splendor.

But Wine Spot is more than just a wine event. It’s an inclusive initiative designed to welcome everyone. Special attention is given to children and young people with disabilities, with tailored workshops aimed at engaging them in meaningful and enjoyable ways. Equally important is the involvement of the social cooperative Un fiore della vita, which supports the job placement of people facing hardship. Members of the cooperative will take part in the catering service, making the event a true expression of community and social value.

Innovation also plays a central role, with a one-of-a-kind digital experience: a 3D hologram sommelier will guide attendees through the wines on display, explaining their features and stories in a captivating and interactive format.

Adding to the experience is the exhibition From Egg to Apples, a historical and artistic journey through the life of Villa Campolieto, from ancient Rome to the 18th century. The day concludes with live music: after the buffet—available until 8:30 PM—guests will enjoy a performance by Sarah Jane Morris alongside the Solis String Quartet, closing the evening with elegance and emotion.

The event is supported by the Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Campania Region, with organizational consultancy from VitignoItalia, the Italian Wine and Wine Regions Expo, which recently celebrated its 19th edition with great public success. The project is co-financed by the National Tourism Fund (FUNT) – current section 2024 – as part of the initiative “Widespread Actions for Regional Competitiveness on the National and International Tourism Market.”
