Merano Wine Festival: “Here We Celebrate Wine”…

“Here we celebrate wine.” This is how Helmuth Köcher likes to describe the philosophy behind this event. A city, Merano, that every year in November devotes five days to the world of food and wine.

The Merano Wine Festival offers a different experience compared to other events in this sector. You can truly find an abundance of wineconceived, presented, and narrated in many different ways. The same goes for gastronomic excellence. Still, if I had to describe the Merano Wine Festival to a friend, I would call it a true territorial event. An entire city dedicated to it. A program designed to be spread out, with its base in the spectacular Kurhaus but extending to the adjacent Gourmet Arena and even the Hotel Terme for masterclasses. And then Corso della Libertà, Merano’s main street, which becomes a connecting point between the regions, the Festival, and the city itself.

The Merano Wine Festival is a convenient event: no stress about parking, no need to cross entire cities to take part, and it’s extremely easy to meet whoever you want to meet. Everything is just a few steps away.

It’s stressful, because seeing everything is truly difficult.
It’s relaxing, because everything is simple.
It’s enjoyable, because Merano is welcoming and well organized.

I would sum up all these sensations in a single word: “Organization,” a word that Helmuth and his team seem to understand very well…
