Tenuta Le Quinte: a family-run winery…

It is not the first time I have come across wineries where I am told that everything began with grandparents and parents delivering wine to families “with a cart”.

A true family business in every respect. A production focused on native grape varieties, particularly whites. Elio Papi tells us that in 1964, when his father bought the estate, the winery was entirely planted with red grapes, with vineyards 80 years old or more, but the cooperative wineries, which only requested white wine, influenced production and pushed farmers to uproot the vines.

Tenuta Le Quinte focuses strongly on white wines, from Malvasia Puntinata to Trebbiano Verde, alongside production with international grape varieties. The idea is to enhance other grapes such as Bombino, Bellone and Trebbiano Giallo
