Between April 14 and 17, 2024, Veronafiere will once again become the hub of the wine world, hosting the 56th edition of Vinitaly, with over 4,000 exhibitors spread across an area of more than 180,000 square meters, confirming its role as the international epicenter of the wine business and an attraction for wineries from every region of Italy and from more than 30 countries.
This year’s edition fits perfectly within Veronafiere’s new strategic plan “One 2024–2026”, which aims to further strengthen the brand’s promotional platform while ensuring strategic investments to attract international operators. The qualitative selection process for operators, successfully launched the previous year, led to the participation of 29,600 international professionals from 143 different countries.
This year, Vinitaly’s offering is further enriched by the 28th edition of Sol International Olive Oil Trade Show, Xcellent Beers and the 25th Enolitech, bringing the total number of participating companies to nearly 4,300. Recent additions are also confirmed, such as the Vinitaly Design Award, which recognizes excellence in packaging, and 5StarWines – the Book, the guide dedicated to wines that have achieved a score of 90/100 or higher.
The popular off-site event “Vinitaly and the City” will once again animate the streets of Verona’s historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site, from April 12 to 15, further strengthening the bond between the exhibition and the urban fabric of the city.
Among the most anticipated events, as every year, is the 13th edition of Vinitaly Opera Wine, organized in collaboration with Wine Spectator and Veronafiere. This year, 131 selected producers will showcase the diversity of the Italian wine landscape, with Tuscany, Piedmont and Veneto leading the way. This edition will be dedicated to the theme of opera, an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO, thus celebrating Verona’s cultural legacy.
The thematic areas of Vinitaly 2024 capture the most current consumption and production trends, offering exhibition spaces dedicated to organic wines, mixology and niche labels, creating rich and international exploration routes. Vinitaly confirms itself as a dynamic platform for guided tastings, Grand Tastings and debates with industry experts, consolidating its role as a key event for professionals and wine lovers alike.
