Just after finishing our first judging session at Radici del Sud, we set off for the scheduled “outing” and arrive at Agrinatura late in the afternoon.
The first impression is one of those that takes your breath away: cultivated fields, vineyards, a woodland. The kind of place where you momentarily lose your bearings, unable to understand where it begins and where it ends. We are at Giancarlo Ceci’s estate, near Andria, and he is there to welcome us personally. Despite the size of the estate, Giancarlo is keen to communicate the company’s organic vocation — or rather, biodynamic — already embraced in 2011.
The estate lies at 250 meters above sea level, between Andria and Castel del Monte, about 20 kilometers from the sea. A winery built on history, passion, and quality. A place where wine production could only become the natural expression of this territory and its native grape varieties.
Tasting Giancarlo Ceci’s wines in the courtyard of the estate, accompanied by dishes prepared with products from their own land, was an experience that proved truly delightful.
