Breakfast at Case Alte

I’m sorry for you, but a breakfast like this is not for everyone.
The reason for the name “Case Alte” becomes immediately clear: we are at the top of a hill, and no name could be more appropriate. A family-style welcome and an extremely convivial atmosphere greet us in the middle of the morning.

I must admit that seeing cheeses and cured meats on the table scared us a little, but the first glass was enough to understand that we could not miss a breakfast like this for any reason.

Giovanni Vaccaro is 24 years old, but he has very clear ideas. We are surprised by the way he treats the grapes. For the reds, a manual destemming that is nothing short of obsessive. A meticulous job that, however, can be found again in the glass.

A great way to start the day. The morning doubts disappear in the blink of an eye and tasting Giovanni’s wines turns out to be truly surprising.

4 Filari, 6 Filari, 12 Filari are the names of the wines we taste.
The most pleasant tasting note is, in my opinion, that of identity. Each sip carries its own character—distinctive, lively, balanced, always capable of capturing your attention.

As usual, the great Sicilian hospitality characterizes this stop.
The quality of the tastings and Giuseppe’s young age made it even more enjoyable.
