Rome, September 6, 2022 – The events of the busy calendar organized by Movimento Turismo del Vino Italia continue. After Cantine Aperte and the evenings of Calici di Stelle, it is now time for Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia, which has the double task of closing the summer season in style while opening the upcoming autumn season. The event will bring WineLovers into the vineyards during the most intense and fascinating period of the wine year. The harvest is in fact the most symbolic and tradition-rich stage of wine production, and enthusiasts will have the opportunity to participate in this festive moment, learning techniques and secrets from expert harvesters.
“It has been a great year for MTV – comments Nicola D’Auria, President of Movimento Turismo del Vino – and Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia will continue to offer all WineLovers the joy of coming together around their shared passion for wine. This time, wine enthusiasts will not only taste wine but will actively take part in its production. That is why Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia is so successful every year, both among adults and younger visitors. There will also be many activities proposed by participating wineries, which never miss the chance to entertain the public with cultural initiatives and much more.”
Among the initiatives offered by MTV wineries are guided tastings, lunches and dinners in the vineyards, exhibitions, music and entertainment and much more. But that is not all. After the great success achieved during the summer nights of Calici di Stelle, the food and wine astronomical calendar will also continue, with celestial bodies dancing in the sky during the harvest period.
Notable events include the night of the Harvest Moon on Saturday, September 10, when a bright full moon will create magical moments in vineyard evenings. On Saturday October 8 and Sunday October 9 the sky will host a unique spectacle, the Meteor Shower, also visible on Friday October 21 and Saturday October 22: a true rain of meteors that will enchant the evenings of Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia. Not to be missed is the Partial Solar Eclipse on Tuesday October 25, along with other celestial events involving stars, planets and satellites.

As with all events organized this year by Movimento Turismo del Vino, Cantine Aperte in Vendemmia will also promote responsible and sustainable wine consumption thanks to the partnership with Wine in Moderation and Unione Italiana Vini. The goal of this collaboration is to encourage the public, especially younger people, to adopt a cultural and responsible approach to wine.
