Rome, Caput Mundi of Wine and Food: Vinòforum 2024 ready to surprise and captivate at the Circus Maximus
The anticipation is growing for the most awaited food and wine event of the year: Vinòforum 2024 is ready to capture the attention of both enthusiasts and newcomers. From Monday, June 17 to Sunday, June 23, Rome will become the center of Italian wine culture with a venue that is both new and ancient at the same time.
For the first time ever, the historic Circus Maximus will host the event that brings together fine drinking, the best chefs on the gastronomic scene, and in‑depth wine sessions led by renowned journalists, producers, and sommeliers.
“Vinòforum at the Circus Maximus,” comments Emiliano De Venuti, CEO of Vinòforum, “will become not only a unique place for promoting the excellence of the territory and of Made in Italy, but will also position itself as a hub for enjoying and promoting Rome’s tourism offerings. The 2024 edition represents the natural evolution of a path begun 20 years ago, when we were the first to strongly believe that Rome could become a strategic hub for the entire sector. This achievement was made possible thanks to the essential collaboration with the city’s institutions, which supported Vinòforum’s innovative vision.”

A wave of new features is arriving at Vinòforum, including the collaboration with the Italian Sommelier Association of Lazio (AIS Lazio), which will inaugurate the award for “Best Sommelier of Lazio” during the opening evening on Monday, June 17. “AIS Lazio is proud to be a partner of such a prestigious event as Vinòforum, which for 25 years has contributed through its program to spreading knowledge and culture of wine and the stories of passion that sustain it,” says Francesco Guercilena, president of AIS Lazio (Italian Sommelier Association).
On the same evening, inside the brand‑new Sunsquare Arena, Vinòforum will present the Wine Digital Communication Awards thanks to the collaboration of prominent figures in journalistic and digital communication (Luciano Pignataro, Filippo Bartolotta, Luca La Mesa, Simone Roveda, Chiara Giannotti).
Now in its 21st edition, Vinòforum confirms itself as a gateway to knowledge and innovation within the wine world. The inauguration of the Digital Room creates an opportunity to promote wine through new forms of communication that play an increasingly central role in modern society. There will be space for face‑to‑face interviews with key figures of the event in an interactive and dynamic format, thanks to the contribution of Molino Casillo for pizza‑related content and Fondazione Cotarella for topics related to wine, hospitality, and training—all animated by Eleonora De Venuti and Chiara Giannotti. Live broadcasts across various digital platforms will ensure active engagement from users, who will be able to interact in real time with the main players of the event.
Wine, food, and entertainment—this and much more await inside the flagship event for all wine lovers, who will have the opportunity to taste, explore, and savor the excellences of Made in Italy in the place where everything began and everything leads back to: the city of Rome.
In Rome from Monday, June 17 to Sunday, June 23.
