“Swing, Taste & Tourism”: Golf Meets Wine, Territories and Experiences in a Day Created by Wining.it

There is a very specific moment, on golf courses, when the silence of the green gives way to human connection. It happens after a well-played hole, in front of a shared glass of wine, while time slows down and a sporting competition suddenly transforms into an experience made of stories, territories and people.

It is precisely from this idea that “Swing, Taste & Tourism” was born, the format created by Wining.it and scheduled for Sunday, May 24th at the Golf Club Parco de’ Medici in Rome. A day that brings together golf, wine, gastronomy and experiential tourism with the aim of telling a new way of living contemporary lifestyle, where sport and conviviality become part of the same narrative.

In recent years Italian golf has been undergoing an important transformation. It is increasingly perceived less as a closed and self-referential sport and more as an international dimension made of hospitality, wellness, travel and leisure culture. And it is precisely within this evolution that Wining.it is trying to build its own editorial language, intertwining wine storytelling with experiences, territories and human connections.

Not surprisingly, the title of the event brings together three words that today perfectly interact with each other: swing, taste and tourism. The technical gesture of golf meets taste and travel, transforming the competition course into something broader, where the green itself becomes almost a narrative space.

The day will begin at 8 a.m. with the QPLM pairs tournament, but the emotional heart of the event will emerge especially in the afternoon, when the club will transform into a place dedicated to tastings and meetings with companies and partners representing different souls of Made in Italy.

Among them, Emilia Golf Experience also returns, renewing its trust in the project by once again participating as a partner of the initiative. A presence that confirms the desire to build an increasingly strong dialogue between the world of golf, experiential tourism and the storytelling of Italian territories.

Alongside Emilia Golf Experience, there will also be companies such as GD Italia, Tipografare and WayFinance — businesses representing different worlds yet united by an idea of quality, attention to detail and the enhancement of human relationships, elements that lie at the very core of the event’s philosophy.

Enriching the food and wine entertainment area will also be the wines of Poggio Le Volpi, Masca del Tacco and the WineWas project by Elio Franci, while the food section will showcase one of the most convivial and visually engaging symbols of Southern Italy’s gastronomic tradition: the Caciocavallo Impiccato, capable of transforming food into a shared and almost theatrical experience.

Alongside this more authentically popular and territorial soul, space will also be given to the luxury stand by LuxurEat, which will present a selection of unconventional products designed to surprise and convey a contemporary idea of gastronomic luxury. A journey combining research, aesthetic provocation and the quality of raw materials, helping to create that dialogue between excellence, conviviality and experience which represents one of the central elements of the entire day.

But “Swing, Taste & Tourism” does not simply aim to be a tasting event or a sporting day.

At 5:15 p.m., the “Florio Grand Experience” will take place: an immersive journey designed to tell the story of time, elegance and cultural heritage surrounding Marsala Florio. The masterclass will be led by Irene Taormina, who will guide guests through history, identity and the nuances of Sicily’s great fortified wine. A narrative that goes beyond the wine itself to enter the historical imagination of one of the families that contributed most to building the identity of Italian wine around the world.

This will be followed by “The Luxureat Caviar Experience”, where caviar and Chinggis Khan Vodka by Non Solo Bolle will become the starting point for reflecting on contemporary luxury and the evolution of high-end gastronomic experiences. The tasting will be hosted by Roberto Ugolini for the caviar section, while Sara Calimari will accompany guests with her talks dedicated to the dialogue between wine, vodka and contemporary experiences.

Behind all this there is also a clear editorial direction.

Wining.it, originally created as a wine storytelling project, is increasingly broadening its perspective towards food tourism, hospitality and the storytelling of experiences. Not simply wine described from a technical perspective, but wine used as a tool to talk about territories, people, culture and lifestyles.

And perhaps golf perfectly represents this philosophy. It is a sport that forces you to slow down, observe the landscape and experience time differently. A world made of relationships, details and atmospheres that naturally interacts with wine and with the very idea of conviviality.

“Swing, Taste & Tourism” was born precisely from this vision: the desire to create authentic connections between people, products and experiences, transforming a competition day into something capable of leaving a real memory behind.

Because today true luxury may no longer simply be owning something exclusive, but rather living moments capable of remaining in one’s memory.
