what we do
First and foremost, we tell stories.
Wining.it was born out of passion. A passion for wine, certainly, but even more for the people, places and stories behind it.
Over the years, we have met producers, travelled through wine regions, tasted wines, visited wineries, kitchens and vineyards. We have listened to people who had a great deal to say, and to others who simply needed someone willing to listen.
That is still what we love to do. But today, we want to do it with a broader perspective.
Wine is our starting point. Not our boundary.
Wining.it is changing because the world around wine has changed. And because we have changed too.

Wine is our starting point. Not our boundary.
Wining.it is changing because the world around wine has changed. And because we have changed too.
We will continue to talk about wines, producers and regions, while always trying to look beyond the bottle. We are interested in travel, food, people, cultures and everything that helps us truly understand a place. That is why travel is becoming an increasingly important part of our storytelling. And it is also why we created the international edition of Wining.it: not simply to translate what we write, but to take Italian stories beyond our borders while, at the same time, bringing new places, new voices and new perspectives to Wining.it.
We like to think of Wining.it as an open project. Open to people, ideas, cross-pollination and even to opportunities we cannot yet imagine. We are building collaborations with writers and correspondents in Italy and abroad because we do not want Wining.it to be a place where everyone talks about wine in the same way. We are looking for different sensibilities, curiosity, expertise, experience and, above all, different points of view.
A column can begin with an encounter, a project with a journey, a collaboration with a conversation. And something that may seem far removed from what we were doing yesterday could become exactly what we do tomorrow.
For us, being open-minded means above all this: recognising a good idea when we come across one. We do not want to be just another place where press releases are published. We receive many of them every day, and they often contain stories that deserve more space, more time and a point of view. That is what we want to try to offer.
A press release can become an article, an interview, a video, an encounter or a journey. This is why Wining.it is also opening up to collaborations with press offices, companies, consortia, destinations and organisations in the wine and food worlds. But we do not want to replace those who manage their communications, nor do we want to promise results that no one can genuinely guarantee.
What we can offer is what we do best: turn information into stories and give those stories a place where they can continue to live.
Projects, rather than services.
We create editorial content, interviews, videos, stories about places and territories, in-depth features and dedicated projects. We can start with a press release or go looking for a story where no one has told it yet. We can do this in Italian and, increasingly, with an international audience in mind.
But before formats, numbers and packages, we prefer to ask ourselves a much simpler question: is there something here worth telling? If the answer is yes, let’s talk. Because after all these years, we still taste, travel, meet people, ask questions and change our minds.
And perhaps that is the true spirit of Wining: to still feel excited about the next story.
And to be curious enough not to know what it will be yet
